Make a difference in Crockett and Port Costa. The Crockett Community Services District (CCSD) is inviting eligible community members to apply for one of two open seats on its Board of Directors.

As a Director, you can help guide decisions affecting District services, priorities, and the future of our communities. CCSD provides sanitary, recreation, lighting, and landscape/maintenance services. The appointment is for a full four-year term beginning in December 2026.

ABOUT THE POSITION / BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

The Board of Directors governs the Crockett Community Services District, which provides sanitary, recreation, lighting, and landscape/maintenance services to the communities of Crockett and Port Costa. This appointment is for a full four-year term beginning in December 2026. Directors must reside within the District. Regular Board meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Crockett Community Center Multi-Purpose Room. Directors are subject to the Brown Act and the Conflict-of-Interest Code and must file Statements of Economic Interests required by the Fair Political Practices Commission. The District Secretary will coordinate this.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Applicants must be registered voters who reside within the District boundaries in Crockett or Port Costa. Prior public-agency or board experience is not required; the application invites you to share your interests, experience, and ideas.

HOW TO APPLY

Complete the attached “CCSD Board of Directors — Statement of Interest / Applicant Questionnaire.” You may also include a separate letter of interest to expand on your responses but not required.

Please submit your application no later than October 22 at 4 PM. Interviews are expected to be held at the October 28 Board meeting.

NEXT STEPS

The Board will interview applicants and recommend two candidates to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors for formal appointment at its November 17 meeting. The appointees will be sworn in and seated at the CCSD Board meeting on December 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crockett Community Center.
