Supervisor Scales-Preston Hosted Office Hours in Crockett

Strengthening Local Ties with the Crockett Community Services District
Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston recently met with leadership from the Crockett Community Services District (CCSD), the local agency serving the communities of Crockett and Port Costa. Joining the discussion were CCSD General Manager Jena Goodman, Recreation Department Manager Alisa Maria, Board President Dale McDonald, and other dedicated staff and contractors.
The conversation focused on enhancing collaboration between the County and CCSD, with exciting proposals to host regular Supervisor office hours at the Crockett Community Center and to co-host community events, such as an annual CIA/Supervisor Breakfast.
Beyond strengthening civic engagement, the group discussed opportunities for County support on local priorities — including extending the community pool season, securing grants for infrastructure improvements at Memorial Hall, and upgrading local sanitation systems.
As the primary provider of recreation, sanitation, and maintenance services in this historically underserved area, CCSD plays a vital role in keeping these communities vibrant and connected.
Supervisor Scales-Preston and the CCSD team shared a strong commitment to open communication, creative problem-solving, and ensuring Crockett and Port Costa have a meaningful voice in County decision-making.
